They say, writing is supposed to be a good way, to work your way thru the greiving process..Somehow,
I seem to have problems, keeping thiscommitment... so..as a grieving mom, I'm hoping that this blog will help keep Gunnar's friends in-touch with me,& give them a place to ''check-in''. Even though so many months have passed, i know it's still hard for you guys to come to the house..it's still hard, for me to be here, sometimes..... But, I want every one of you to know, how much I appreciate your emails, phone calls, and visits. Thank you, for the memories, the laughter, and the healing power of our tears.....I can't imagine my life, without every one of you, in it(my life)......you know who you are..................BECAUSE I AM THE MOM! Thank you, & I love you..........now &.always,......
I have lived in south Dakota, all of my life. My family is here, my roots are here. While I don't spend alot of time with "family", we always manage to bond together, when times get tough. Gunnar's death is more proof, of that.I also have a huge family of friends, and this "family"also pulls together, in a heart beat, when necessary. My parents live about 70 miles away, my husbands parents live about 7 miles from our house.
where memories include the best years of our life!...''the farm''

I can only imagine the pain that many families have gone through losing family and friends in the war. My family has returned safe but my heart goes out to the ones that haven't. I have a nephew that just returned and after hearing him talk I decided to collect cell phones for soldiers and donate them. I hope that will help keep the soldiers and their families in touch. I am part owner in a computer recycling business and just last week alone I collected a hundred phones. I know these phones will be greatly appreciated. My heart goes out to you and your loss. But I am also grateful that he helped to make our land what it is today, home of the free and the brave. thank you so much. Tracey
