About Me
- debey
- I have lived in south Dakota, all of my life. My family is here, my roots are here. While I don't spend alot of time with "family", we always manage to bond together, when times get tough. Gunnar's death is more proof, of that.I also have a huge family of friends, and this "family"also pulls together, in a heart beat, when necessary. My parents live about 70 miles away, my husbands parents live about 7 miles from our house.

22 jan.
8lbs. 8 oz.
22 jan 1985, @ 4:34 am, in Aberdeen, SD, our Gunnar was born......after 1hour 4 minutes of labor, in an ice storm. He was "hell bent" to arrive, and never slowed down...........
So, when the weather, for S.Dak. tellls us, to prepare, for an ice storm, and 2000 people have been without power, already, today, I have not a doubt, in the world, that our power will probably be out, for part of Gunnar's birthday, and funeral anniversary.
(Thus, I am posting this, early).
~~Chosen One
If, before you were born, I could have gone to Heaven, and saw all the beautiful souls,
I still would have chosen you..............
If God would have told me " this soul will one day need extra care"
I still would have chosen you...............
If He would have told me, "that one day, this soul would make my heart bleed,"
I still would have chosen you.............
If He would have told me, 'this soul would make me question the depth of my faith"
I still would have chosen you........
If God would have told me "this soul would make tears flow from my eyes, that would overflow a river",
I still would have chosen you.........
If He would have told me "Our time here on earth would be short"
I still would have chosen you..........
If He would have told me "All that you know to be normal would drastically change"
I still would have chosen you......
I know it was God, who chose Gunnar, for me.
Thank you, God, for allowing me to be Gunnar's Mom.
Happy Birthday, Gunnar,
I love you,
forever, & always!

In Memory
Golden memories fill my mind
Of one who's still held dear,
Never forgetting the times we had,
Each day, each month, each year.
Bedazzled by your quirky ways,
United in all our love,
Trying hard to understand,
Now you're needed up above
Only hope the heavens appreciate,
The love that's left behind.
Family, friends and colleagues,
Often quoting your words so kind,
Remembering your goodness,
Great things you've said to make us wonder,
Our hearts yearn to have you back
To stay with us for longer
Till once again we meet- our memories will always stay sweet,
Even tho God needs you-and your soul He wants to keep,
Never, ever will we forget, 'cos our love still runs so deep.
