About Me

I have lived in south Dakota, all of my life. My family is here, my roots are here. While I don't spend alot of time with "family", we always manage to bond together, when times get tough. Gunnar's death is more proof, of that.I also have a huge family of friends, and this "family"also pulls together, in a heart beat, when necessary. My parents live about 70 miles away, my husbands parents live about 7 miles from our house.

When Bloggers meet

in early November, we had company....yep! Erin and Scout...and their 3 dogs, of which, I can only remember Lewis's name..............they managed to arrive on opening weekend of deer season....and, what good sports....got up early, froze their asses of, and kept my husband company.........thought i'd post this picture.....the deer was Corey's (another friend) once-in-a-lifetime! hunting experience!

Awww...we have that picture hanging on our fridge! We had such a great time with you guys! We just got Internet today, so hopefully (HOPEFULLY) I'll be able to keep in touch more often. Oh yeah, Foxy and Winston. Don't worry, I won't tell them you forgot their names. :) Erin

Aren't they cute. They do look cold. Can't believe I raised a daughter who doesn't mind killing animals, I mean hunting. I guess it's in her jeans, I mean genes. My father's version of a family vacation was a hunting trip when we lived in Montana. Didn't mind the blood and gore then but it's not for me now. I have one brother who is an obsessed duck hunter in California, another who hunts deer, turkey etc in South Carolina, and a third here in Washington who doesn't hunt much anymore. We was big into fishing and crabbing and spear fishing when he scuba dived. So you see Erin is just picking up after her uncles. Her sister married an avid hunter. Him and his father are big bow & arrow hunters. They have gotten Meghan into fishing. She showed them all up on opening day last year and caught the biggest trout!! I guess I can't get away from it!!!! Thanks for pic. I'll visit more often. Cindy (Erin's mom from Washington)
