About Me

I have lived in south Dakota, all of my life. My family is here, my roots are here. While I don't spend alot of time with "family", we always manage to bond together, when times get tough. Gunnar's death is more proof, of that.I also have a huge family of friends, and this "family"also pulls together, in a heart beat, when necessary. My parents live about 70 miles away, my husbands parents live about 7 miles from our house.

22 jan.

8lbs. 8 oz.

22 jan 1985, @ 4:34 am, in Aberdeen, SD, our Gunnar was born......after 1hour 4 minutes of labor, in an ice storm. He was "hell bent" to arrive, and never slowed down...........
So, when the weather, for S.Dak. tellls us, to prepare, for an ice storm, and 2000 people have been without power, already, today, I have not a doubt, in the world, that our power will probably be out, for part of Gunnar's birthday, and funeral anniversary.
(Thus, I am posting this, early).
~~Chosen One
If, before you were born, I could have gone to Heaven, and saw all the beautiful souls,
I still would have chosen you..............
If God would have told me " this soul will one day need extra care"
I still would have chosen you...............
If He would have told me, "that one day, this soul would make my heart bleed,"
I still would have chosen you.............
If He would have told me, 'this soul would make me question the depth of my faith"
I still would have chosen you........
If God would have told me "this soul would make tears flow from my eyes, that would overflow a river",
I still would have chosen you.........
If He would have told me "Our time here on earth would be short"
I still would have chosen you..........
If He would have told me "All that you know to be normal would drastically change"
I still would have chosen you......
I know it was God, who chose Gunnar, for me.
Thank you, God, for allowing me to be Gunnar's Mom.
Happy Birthday, Gunnar,
I love you,
forever, & always!

I happened to be blog-walking when I came across your blog. It brought me to tears to read your notes. Please be strong and my prayers are with you and family.
